At Talaz, we are passionate about making eco-travel mainstream, affordable, and experiential. As a private operation, our core values align with those of our guests. We prioritize work-life balance, convenience, and simplicity, embracing organic food, nature, and eco-friendly practices. Our cumulative worldly travels, cultural experiences, and outdoor adventures, have helped to shape our eco glamping strategy - use less and give more!
Founder, Rachel Bowers, an eco-tourism advocate, believes that you can have your kombucha and drink it too when it comes to environmentally responsible travel. She adamantly expresses,
"You shouldn't have to sacrifice your comfort or your bank account for an eco-friendly experience. People deserve an opportunity to travel green, to try it out, to experience reconnecting with loved ones and nature while feeling safe. FOUNDER
As her passion for eco-friendly travel accelerated during the pandemic, Rachel began extensive research within Eco-Innovation, Circular Operations, and Eco Development and her contributions were recently published in the academic hospitality space. Rachel is also an original delegate at the Eco Resort Summit and an environmental delegate and speaker at Eurochrie Appeldoorn in 2022.
Following her passion, she is now an actively dedicated team member in all Talaz projects. Her role as Talaz Development Director, has allowed her to carefully select a pro-planet team comprised of Lake Tahoe locals and outdoor enthusiasts.
